About

About this group
Welcome Delegates to the Model UN Society!
Model United Nations, also known as Model UN, is an educational simulation in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. At a MUN conference, students work as the representative of a country, organization, or person, and must solve a problem with other delegates from around the world. MUN teaches participants skills like research, public speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership.
What to expect:
Through our fortnightly meetings, you will be simulating UN committees including among others, the Security Council or the General Assembly, enabling you to gain a unique insight into how the UN works
We host monthly debates in collaboration with Amnesty International to discuss current events as well as policies and legislation to be implemented at university
We participate in external conferences such as LIMUN and HultMUN to network with students from all around the world and get a feel for what real diplomacy careers look like
Expect socials, meetups, external speekers and much more!
No previous MUN experience is required, all courses welcome.
